Standard Microfinance Bank Limited
A community-focused, licensed microfinance bank operating in Adamawa State, Nigeria.
The Bank provides financial services including savings, credit facilities and financial empowerment to individuals, entrepreneurs, farmers, groups, small businesses and other members of the community.
The institution commenced operations in 1999 as a microfinance community bank and subsequently converted to a microfinance bank in 2008 following the revocation of community bank licences and the introduction and licensing of microfinance banks by the Central Bank of Nigeria.
The Bank is community-owned and has maintained a strong connection with the people and communities it serves.
Over the years, Standard Microfinance Bank has contributed to economic empowerment across Adamawa State, particularly through financial services targeted at women, youth, farmers, entrepreneurs and other members of the community.
The Bank's community-focused approach is built around making financial services more accessible and helping people grow their businesses, save, manage their finances and access credit for development opportunities.
