About the Role
The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall management and performance of the branch, including business growth, deposit mobilisation, quality loan portfolio growth, customer service, branch operations, staff performance, risk management and regulatory compliance.
The successful candidate will drive deposit mobilisation, quality loan portfolio growth and customer service while maintaining strong risk management and regulatory compliance.
Job Description – Key Responsibilities

Branch Business Growth
Drive branch business growth, customer acquisition and revenue.

Deposit Mobilisation
Mobilise deposits and develop strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- 3
Loan Management
Supervise loan origination, appraisal, disbursement, monitoring and recovery.
- 4
Portfolio Quality
Monitor loan portfolio quality, repayment performance and Portfolio at Risk (PAR).
- 5
Customer Service
Ensure excellent customer service and timely resolution of complaints.
- 6
Branch Operations
Manage daily branch operations, cash management, reconciliations, records and assets.
- 7
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure compliance with CBN, NDIC, AML/CFT and the bank's internal policies and procedures.

Internal Controls
Maintain effective internal controls and promptly escalate suspicious transactions, fraud risks, operational incidents and other exceptions.

Staff Leadership
Lead, supervise, coach and evaluate branch staff.

Performance Management
Monitor branch performance against approved business and operational targets.

Management Reporting
Prepare regular branch performance reports for management.

Audit and Compliance Follow-up
Ensure audit findings and compliance issues are addressed promptly.

Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree/HND in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
- Relevant professional banking/finance qualification is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years relevant banking or microfinance experience, including significant experience in branch operations, credit/loan management and business development.
- Proven experience in deposit mobilisation, lending, loan recovery and customer relationship management.
